I recently read that Harry Potter’s author—J. K. Rowling, a once unemployed single mother whose books and movies have made her a billionaire, had her 1st manuscript rejected by 12 publishers!! Now that is some kind of rejection right?
Rejection is just one of the hazards of moving into a new realm, a realm where you realize greater financial success. Taking on a new client, changing careers, writing that book you have been putting off forever… they all have the built in chance that you could be rejected in some way. How do you get past that? For me, it is to stay involved with Facebook groups that are about positive feedback and support. When you are doing a project you are just not sure of, the right support can work wonders!
It is within each of us to turn rejection into opportunity. Only we can do it. Sometimes it seems so far away, but it really isn’t. Reading articles like this one about J.K. Rowling, help me to realize I can make it happen also!
What is working for you?
